Award-winning artist Allison Wickey has created a series of new shirt designs showcasing iconic imagery from Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A. The designs will be featured exclusively in A.Wickey Studio-Gallery, in various official 30A® retail locations and on the new 30Agear.com website.
“Allison’s paintings are distinctly 30A,” said Mike Ragsdale of 30A.com. “The colors, textures and imagery are all authentic and locally inspired.”
Honored as Walton County’s 2011 Artist of the Year, Allison Wickey is the owner of A.Wickey Studio-Gallery in Rosemary Beach, Florida. Prior to moving to Scenic Highway 30A in 2007, Wickey was a muralist and faux finish painter in St. Louis for seven years.
“The Manifest”
Wickey’s first 30A shirt designs, entitled The Manifest and Nelly, premiered today on 30Agear.com, with plans to introduce new designs throughout the year.
“I normally work with Venetian plaster on wooden frames, so this has been a very fun creative process for me,” said Wickey. “It’s exciting to think that my art can now reach a whole new audience through 30A.”
Ragsdale said that even though 30Agear.com just launched two months ago, online sales have greatly exceeded all expectations.
“There’s a huge appetite out there for all things 30A,” said Ragsdale. “We ship orders every day to people across the nation, as far away as Hawaii and Alaska [map of recent orders], so we’re excited that we can help introduce Allison’s extraordinary talents to hundreds of thousands of 30A fans around the world.”
