Voted “Best in Mixed Media” at the 2012 ArtsQuest Fine Arts & Music Festival, artist Justin Lyons has created an exclusive series of new 30A shirt designs that showcase his unique creative style.

“I’m really exited to design an artist series t-shirt line that offers a different twist on the 30A lifestyle,” said Lyons. “The designs are my own interpretations of 30A’s unique vibe, and I’m grateful to 30A.com for the awesome opportunity.”

Lyons introduced three original 30A designs today, including In The Studio, Icon and Allure, a Redfish-inspired design featuring a “30A” fishing lure. Lyons plans to launch more designs throughout the year.

Justin Lyons

A self-taught contemporary artist from the Florida panhandle, Justin credits his introduction into the world of street art as ‘the spark’ that led him to pursue his own form of creative expression. His mediums include wood, acrylic, house paint, photographs, spray paint, oil stick, epoxy resin and pencil. His compositions consist of multi-layered paint drippings, pencil scrawling and surface etchings. Reflecting his own personal thoughts or feelings on a particular object or subject, Lyons utilizes the freedom of wordplay by incorporating symbols, words and sometimes stereotypes to convey a message.

“Like so many others, I was drawn to Justin’s work from the very first moment that I saw it,” said 30A’s Mike Ragsdale. “His playful and raw designs really create a fresh perspective on 30A. I can’t wait to see what he dreams up next.”

Justin’s original artwork is available for purchase at The Art of Simple in Seaside, and at Exhibit7 (inside Artesano Jewels) and Full Circle Gallery in Fort Walton Beach. In 2012, Lyons collaborated with YOLO Board to release a special artist series “5th Anniversary” board, surf model line and apparel.
