Children’s Volunteer Health Network (CVHN) will host its Eighth Annual Hurricane Party at Bud & Alley’s in Seaside this Friday, September 21st.

The doors will open at 6 p.m. with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $75, with proceeds going to help CVHN fulfill its mission.

South Walton’s longest established and award-winning restaurant, Bud & Alley’s, will host this year’s annual Hurricane Party with entertainment provided by Nashville’s DJ Mike Whitty. The event will also feature a live and silent auction.

“This is one of our favorite events because it was the original Hurricane Party which provided the vital start-up funding for the first kids to be treated back in 2005,” said Zach Billingsley, CVHN’s Executive Director. “With an active year of hurricanes in the Gulf in 2005, the Hurricane Party became the natural name for the event and it has been going strong ever since.”

Last year’s event raised more than $38,000, providing critical funding for the CVHN Dental Clinic which opened this year and the ‘Just for Grins’ Mobile Dental Clinic.

“The generous people of this community are the driving force which makes CVHN possible,” said Billingsley. “We’re thrilled to partner with Bud & Alley’s, which is the perfect venue to spend time with our supporters and raise funds that will allow CVHN to continue taking care of our local uninsured and underinsured children.”

The doors will open at 6 p.m. with drinks and hors d’oeuvres. Tickets are $60 in advance and $75 day of the party with proceeds going to help CVHN fulfill its mission.
