CALL TO ACTION: Walton County Small Business Association
Thursday, November 7
South Walton Courthouse Annex
31 Coastal Centre Boulevard, Ste. 700
Santa Rosa Beach, FL 32459
Today is an important milestone in the history of business in Walton County. Proposed ordinances could make such sweeping changes to the way that business is done here, that it could effectively make doing business in Walton County virtually impossible. New proposed ordinances include:
1. Parking Ordinances
2. Outdoor Event Ordinances
3. Business License “Tax Receipts”
4. Anonymous Code Enforcement
The Walton County Small Business Association urges you to attend today’s Board of County Commissioners (BCC) meeting. On the agenda is our request to put a HOLD on these proposed changes and to appoint a Blue Ribbon Committee to commit to study the problems that these ordinances attempt to address. It is our opinion that these changes do NOT address the problems and are extremely detrimental to all small businesses in Walton County.
We need as many business owners, employees and family members to attend this Thursday’s meeting at 3.30pm in order for our voices to be heard, and for our proposal to become a part of the solution. Our Commissioners need to hear us — loud and clear, and with a strong show of numbers! This is the time we need to support our spokesperson, Gary Shipman.
Please forward and share this info, and let others know how important it is to attend this meeting.
