The inaugural Paint ‘n Skim Workshop with Meyer Skimboards and artist Justin Lyons held on Monday, July 30th at SK8 30A Board Shop in Blue Mountain Beach received a fantastic turnout with nearly 30 children in attendance. Due to the enthusiastic response, SK8 30A Board Shop is located at 2282 West County Highway 30A #5 in Santa Rosa Beach.
Meyer Skimboards’ Cassidy brothers Dan and Matt together with Saczynski will be on hand to teach the basic techniques for painting with acrylic, pencil, pen, and screen printing. Each participant will be provided with an unfinished board to customize and purchase at a discounted price. All participants’ boards will be finished by the Meyer Skimboards team and will be available for pickup at SK8 30A Board Shop on August 23rd, or shipping can be arranged. All supplies will be provided for the workshop courtesy of sponsor Destin Paint Center.
Founded in 1985, all Meyer Skimboards are handcrafted locally in South Walton combining wood, wood/foam hybrids, hand-painted graphics and high-gloss Epoxy Resin to create some of the most durable and attractive wood skimboards available.
