Raw & Juicy, 30A’s original organic juicery and raw food outlet, has experienced such growth since first opening its Airstream for service in Seaside in 2008 that a lifestyle boutique seemed a natural next step. In the spirit of the Seaside’s livable, sustainable founding principles of New Urbanism, Raw + Juicy Life is now open, offering alternative dining, beauty, gift, home and garden options made with care and attention to innovation, community and ecology.
The new shop is located right across the street from the original Raw & Juicy, located in a 1966 Airstream in the town center of Seaside.
“We’ve always strived to be an educator in the community for natural and organic living,” said Raw & Juicy owner Jenifer Kuntz, who also founded the Seaside Farmers Market. “Now we have a retail platform to expand on that by showcasing artisans who create beautiful things in sustainable and reasoned ways.”
Seaside co-founder Daryl Davis is enthusiastically supportive of Kuntz’ latest venture.
“Jen’s a natural born entrepreneur with outstanding leadership skills. I have no doubt that Raw & Juicy Life will be a stunning success much as both Raw & Juicy and the Seaside Farmers Market have been,” said Davis.
A former dancer and yoga instructor turned raw foods chef and certified Ayurvedic Consultant, Kuntz’s personal touch is evident in the excellent quality, flavor and fun she brings to her businesses.
Raw + Juicy was ranked among the ‘Top 10 Juice Bars Across the Country’ by USA Today, and Kuntz has applied those same standards of excellence to the new product line for Raw + Juicy Life. Many of the environmentally conscientious vendors have a charitable component to their business model — a practice that’s important to Kuntz and her team.
Raw + Juicy Life features grab-and-go cold-pressed organic juices, gluten-free beer, organic wine and sake, an expanded vegetarian, vegan and raw menu, custom picnic baskets, and a number of thoughtfully-curated lifestyle products and accessories. Some of the speciality brands personally sourced by Kuntz include Goddess Garden, Convivial Cloth Co., Nate Cotterman, Fredericks & Mae, S’well Bottles, Kammok and many more.
“Raw + Juicy Life is a celebration of the outdoor experience, whether it’s having a picnic on the beach, playing, napping or just generally being fully present surrounded by water, sand and nature,” Kuntz said. “We hope our new shop encourages others to better experience this beautiful way of life we are so fortunate to live here at the beach.”
