Twin Oaks Brings the Farm to the Beach with New Shop

Twin Oaks Farms has opened a full-time farm stand at the Shops of Grayton, bringing their organic offerings to town every day of the week, along with a café of prepared foods to take to go.

“The farm is in Bonifay, it’s such a remote location there’s little reason for people here to drive all that way to visit,” said owner Renee Savary. “We thought it better to bring the farm to the beach.”

Twin Oaks has gained a following on 30A through their presence at the Seaside Farmers Market, and Renee said opening the full-time shop was a natural next step.

The farm “stand,” as it is called, is actually located in one of the modest, wood-floored shops on Logan Lane in Grayton Beach. It’s shelves are lined with dozens of hand-made jellies and preserves from the farm, soap made with egg whites from farm-raised chickens, dozens of organic spices, hot cocoa mix – plenty of perfect gift items. The stand also features fresh produce, eggs, yogurt and meat, all from the Twin Oaks Farm in Bonifay, Florida, and sells milk from Working Cows Dairy, the region’s only organic dairy farm.

At the deli counter, order fresh organic coffee and breakfast items or pick up prepared foods to take to go for lunch or dinner. The menu varies, but on opening night it included Chicken Tangine, Mexican Turkey Mole, a Fritata and homemade chicken broth.

The stand’s hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., every day, at the Shops of Grayton at 26 Logan Lane. Find more info at twinoakfarms.net.
