What to Do on a Rainy Day at the Beach

Sometimes the sun just won’t come out, even when you’re at the beach, but we don’t let that stop us from enjoying what the area has to offer. We knew our more than a million devout 30A fans would have some great and creative ideas of how to spend a rainy day on 30-A, so we rounded up a few of our favorites. (Just remember: if it’s lightning, stay indoors!)

We have pool noodle fights in the rain! Every time it rains we grab the pool noodles and run outside. I’m not sure how it started but that’s what we do. — Gina Taylor

I love to sit on the balcony so I can hear the rain and watch the ocean during a storm. If it is chilly, sip a warm, but refreshing adult libation, relax and contemplate life. Or where we are going for dinner. Because, seafood, am I right? –Angie Thompson

Make a drink, put a swim suit on and walk the beach. You’ll be wet anyway if you get in the water on a sunny day, so this won’t hurt a thing. –Phyl Drake

I love to use rainy days at the beach as a great day to go explore some of the local businesses and shops that are unique and only found on 30a. Support local family businesses that help make 30A the best and friendliest place around. –Amy Jones
