Harbor Docks Charities is hosting the 30th Annual Take-A-Kid-Fishing Day on Sunday, November 2, 2025. Some 300 children will be treated to a day of fishing on the Gulf of Mexico or Choctawhatchee Bay. Each child – and their chaperone – are served breakfast before boarding one of Destin’s finest charter boats for a morning of fishing. Upon return, the day is celebrated with a fish fry lunch, and every child is sent home with a t-shirt and their own rod and reel.

Reservations for this free fishing trip are being accepted until the slots are filled. This is for children from 7 to 13 years old. To make a reservation or get additional information call Harbor Docks at 837-2506, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday and ask for Jackie. Pre-registration is required.
