On Saturday, March 25, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., Alaqua Animal Refuge will host a Wild & Free Festival with live music, food and drinks, and a “baby shower” for the hundreds of local orphaned wildlife that come to the shelter. Take part in a wildlife treasure hunt, have your face painted, decorate a birdhouse, and take a tour of Alaqua’s new wildlife ambulance, which is full of animal ambassadors.

This event will feature Alaqua’s Wildlife Rehabilitation Center, which is licensed by both the state and the federal government and helps sick, injured, and orphaned native Florida wildlife from 11 counties get better and back into the wild.
