Calling all animal lovers and golf enthusiasts! Alaqua Animal Refuge announces its inaugural golf tournament, “FORE! The Love of Animals,” to be held Saturday, May 21 at Windswept Dunes Golf Course in Freeport, Florida. The Tournament begins at 10 a.m. with a shotgun start and scramble format.

Presented by Top Dog Title Sponsor Insurance Zone, the Tournament offers ladies and men’s teams of four with individual players being paired; an 8:30 a.m. check-in with breakfast by Chick-fil-A; 18 holes of golf with a cart; boxed lunch; two drink tickets; and a fun after-party. Registration is $200 per golfer or $750 per foursome.

The Tournament will wrap up with a “Yappy Hour” Awards Celebration to be held inside the courtyard at Alaqua’s new Welcome Center for all participants and sponsors, and will feature an array of hours d’oeuvres, beer, and wine. Awards will be given for Best in Show for both men’s and ladies’ teams, along with other fun awards and multiple raffles! Attendees will also be able to get a tour of the new Refuge and the opportunity to meet some of the animals!

Even if you don’t play golf, there are a number of opportunities to support FORE! The Love of Animals Golf Tournament. Sponsorships for Yappy Hour, Bird Dog, Beverage Carts, Doggie Bag Boxed Lunch, and the Driving Range/Putting Green are still available, and they are a great way to showcase your company and support for Alaqua. The Tournament also offers Hole Sponsorships where you can have your pet’s name and photo, your company’s logo, or your name on an individual tee/hole sign.
