To celebrate Black History Month, Hotel Effie at the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort has partnered with the Cultural Art Alliance of Walton County to host the first HeArt to Art event at Hotel Effie, titled “Honoring the Visions and Voices of Black Artists.”. On February 21 from 5:30 to 8 p.m., join local black artists Christon Anderson, April Fitzpatrick, Willie Morris, Gary Pope, Jr., Ricky Steele and Quia Atkinson at The Lobby Bar at Hotel Effie for an interactive panel followed by an immersive cultural experience complete with cocktail specials, light bites, live music and more. Guests are welcome to peruse and purchase artists’ original work as it will be displayed during the event and for the rest of February.
“Honoring the Visions and Voices of Black Artists” is the first event of the HeArt to Art series at Hotel Effie, consisting of local artists’ panels, gallery nights, art auctions and more. The event is free and open to both Hotel Effie guests and locals.
