Did you know women only make up 34% of the Emergency Management workforce in the United States?
We’re here to change that statistic.
Join us, June 6 – 10, 2022, for HERricane Florida, Landfall: Walton County, a FREE week-long HIGH SCHOOL girl’s day camp, created to transition young women into community leaders, while demonstrating Emergency Management as a positive force for public safety and local government.

HERricane Florida, Landfall: Walton County program objectives and experiences include disaster preparedness, leadership skills, networking tools, career exploration, professional development, and confidence building exercises.
Created by Arlington County Emergency Management, attendees will have the opportunity to be mentored by female leaders from local, state, and national emergency response agencies, as well as private sector organizations.
