While all his supernatural tales aim to send a shiver down the spine, they are not without the usual traits of Dickens’ flamboyant style: his subtle wit, biting irony, humorous incidents, and moral observations. Featuring two of Dickens’ creepy tales – with a comic twist. A traveler encounters a ghostly chair, and in a deserted Edinburgh carriage works, a tipsy reveler is spirited away by…well…spirits! Like “The Woman in Black” – but funnier, with fewer people!
