The Walton County Coastal Branch Library will be presenting “Winter Community Programs” every Wednesday at 10:00am starting from January 10th to March 6th, 2024. These programs aim to engage and educate adults and families, offering both entertainment and educational value by delving into our community and its members. Supported by the Friends of Coastal Library, these programs are free and accessible to everyone, although the Community Room has limited seating available.
February 21
Dr. James W. Wilson – Chair of the Choctawhatchee Chapter of the Florida Trail Association for Walton/Okaloosa Counties
Dr. Wilson discusses the Florida National Scenic Trail, spanning over 1500 miles, a rarity as one of just eleven in the United States. This trail is accessible to the public, offering over 100 miles of non-motorized trails in this particular region. Despite being a Professor in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Dr. Wilson’s passion for nature and the environment has driven them to achieve mastery as a naturalist in both Texas and Florida.
