These programs aim to engage and educate adults and families, offering both entertainment and educational value by delving into our community and its members. Supported by the Friends of Coastal Library, these programs are free and accessible to everyone, although the Community Room has limited seating available.
January 10: Walton County History with Story and Song – Historian Ronnie McBrayer
Ronnie McBrayer, author of Wild, Wild, Walton publications and a local pastor, musician, playwright, and nationally syndicated columnist, will discuss Walton County history through stories and songs. He hails from the Appalachian Mountains in Georgia and now resides in Walton County, Florida, where he has written multiple books. Scientists attribute the beautiful sugar-white beaches of the Florida Panhandle to erosion, suggesting that a sand dune in Florida was once a mountain peak in Georgia that gradually eroded into the sea.
