1. What do you like most about living at the beach?

The people make living at the beach so special. Our active community encourages physical, mental, and spiritual growth. There is always someone or something right around the corner to inspire you, from art galleries to a vibrant music scene. From amazing cuisine to a quiet walk on the beach. I am continually inspired by the amazing people that make 30-A so special.

2. Three favorite spots?

The Eastern Lake Beach Access for sunset, Grayton Beach access for sunrise, and the Stallworth Lake Beach Access for a quiet walk along the beach into Tops’l Hill Preserve State Park.

3. Favorite place for a night out?

My favorite place for a night out is dinner at La Crema in Rosemary Beach followed by the laid back atmosphere at the Havana Beach Rooftop Lounge at The Pearl.

4. Most delicious menu item?

I believe the grouper po-boy at Seagrove Village Market will be on the menu every day in heaven.

5. What do you like to do in your free time?

After a lifetime of living in Walton County I still love watching the sun go down surrounded by with my wife, children, family, and friends. We try to do this at least a couple times a week and I can’t imagine a better way to end a day.

BONUS: How long have you been a local?

My children are the fifth generation to live in Walton County. I grew up in DeFuniak Springs and spent my summers in a beach house in Blue Mountain Beach. Back then a beach house in South Walton was a 2 bedroom, 1 bath block house with a window AC unit.

I spent a large part of my childhood beach fishing, skim boarding, and coastal dune lake exploring along 30-A. This stretch of beach is where I find peace and where I feel the most alive. There is something special about home and I feel amazingly blessed to call this place home.
