Come join us for the 3rd annual “Making Turtle Tracks” Beach 5K Fun Walk/Run on beautiful Panama City Beach. Join your family and friends on a morning walk along our white, sandy beach, while learning about local sea turtle conservation efforts. This event is a beach 5K, and will not be setup on the adjacent paved road, so please keep this in mind while preparing. This event is being organized by Gulf World Marine Institute, Inc. and Panama City Beach Turtle Watch; all proceeds will be directed to sea turtle rescue and rehabilitation efforts at Gulf World Marine Institute.
The event kicks off on the sandy beach at Beach Access 52 near the Barefoot Hide-A-Way Restaurant. Check-in and shirt pick-up start at 7:00, with the Walk/Run commencing at 8:30. We’ll stroll 2.5K east to Bid A Wee Beach and return for a 5K total. Parking is available at Gulf World Marine Park, with a crosswalk at Hills Road and Front Beach Road. Beach Access 52 is closest to the starting point. Expect a beachside trek with insights into local sea life. Register by April 12th for a guaranteed T-shirt; after that, shirts available while supplies last. Day-of registration increases by $5. Online registration is $45 starting April 27th. On-site registrants won’t be guaranteed a shirt. Each participant receives a goodie bag and access to water stations. Join us for a fantastic day!
