Flutterby Arts Children’s Festival Returns to Rosemary Beach Nov 14-15

The Cultural Arts Alliance of Walton County is calling all kids to flitter to the beach-front town of Rosemary Beach for the annual Flutterby Arts Festival, which will take place Saturday, November 14, and Sunday, November 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the East Long Green.

The Flutterby Festival, presented by the Merchants of Rosemary Beach, is a two-day event filled with arts, nature, science and fun in celebration of the migration of the Monarch butterfly through South Walton.

The festival will feature live entertainment for the entire family, including music, theatre, dance and The Magical Metamorphosis Show.

Art activities like the butterfly wing creation station, craft-making and face-painting will be available all weekend. Kids can also enjoy a hula hoop contest, butterfly plant learning center, carnival games, bounce houses and a butterfly parade at the end of each day.

Flutterby entertainment will be provided by Emerald Coast Middle School Color Guard, 30A Dancewave, Emerald Coast Theatre Company, Ohana Records, 30A Ballet, The Rep Theatre and Seaside Neighborhood School.

Professional artists will exhibit and sell their work throughout the weekend, and official Flutterby merchandise featuring butterfly art winner and third-grader Carly Coleman will be available for purchase. New this year to the festival are dog adoptions through Dog Harmony.
