A road closure notice from Walton County Public Works was recently shared by the Walton County Sheriff’s Office. Starting on October 30, 2023, East County Road 30A at Deer Lake will be temporarily closed to facilitate the construction of a new bridge.
The project encompasses tasks such as relocating utilities, replacing the existing box culvert with a precast concrete bridge, repositioning the roadway and multi-use path, and installing drainage systems.
The project is set to be completed within 180 days, with an estimated finish date in the spring of 2024.
