Melodies of Resilience: Broken Crayons Tour Begins with a Concert for Mental Health Awareness

First Note Entertainment is kicking off its Broken Crayons Tour in Santa Rosa Beach on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the South Walton High School auditorium. Hosted by Tommy Jackson, founder of First Note Entertainment, the debut concert will feature 6 talented artists representing various genres united on one stage to entertain and promote positive mental health.

Featured artist Ellee Duke, who has over 25 million streams and has opened for artists including LeAnn Rhimes and Rachel Platton as well as produced a Billboard #1 hit single called “Craving” that she co-wrote with friends Arty and Audien, will kick off the concert with her signature song, “Broken Crayons,” which she wrote after her Uncle’s suicide.

With mental health at the forefront, the tour is part of a bigger program coined ‘The Broken Crayons Movement.” As part of the tour,  Ellee Duke and Tommy Jackson are visiting high schools to deliver impactful assemblies that inspire and motivate students, giving them hope. With suicide now the second-leading cause of death for teens and young adults aged 10-34, Jackson and Duke aim to make a significant impact among students who are facing depression and anxiety by showing the power of self-love, good habits, and self-talk, which can change the trajectory of their lives. Duke and Jackson will present to South Walton High School students on Jan. 4 and hope to visit more schools in the area.

During the concert on Sat., Jan. 6, Duke will joined on stage by other talented musicians and performers, including Percy ‘Bad’ Bady, the mastermind behind “I Believe I Can Fly”, Tim Jackson, local artist and songwriter with several Grammy nominations, showcasing his remarkable musical talent; Jon Michael Ogletree, who appeared on “America’s Got Talent” and is an official partner of Twitch; Anthony Peebles, who has made his mark on ABC, NBC, and Peacock with his music, and Victoria Boland, who wowed audiences on “Canada’s Got Talent” and has performed for Her Royal Highness, Queen Elizabeth II.
