Glen David Andrews Band Returns to Grayton Bar & Grill on New Year’s Eve

Glen David Andrews

Glen David Andrews

Grayton Bar & Grill is pulling out all the stops for their very first New Year’s Eve party, featuring world-class entertainment by Glen David Andrews, a baritone trombonist who hails from the Treme section of New Orleans. You might recognize Andrews from HBO’s acclaimed Treme series, in which he plays himself. The show has also featured some of his original music.

Quint Davis, Producer of the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival, called Andrews, “One of the giant talents of New Orleans,” while The Houston Press wrote, “He is one of the most amazing vocalists alive today–his billowing baritone is like a horn instrument itself. He sanctifies, electrifies, hellafies.”

GBG-NYE-MenuAt  6’ 4”, Andrews towers over his audience with his extraordinary voice and his larger-than-life presence. Accompanied by guitar, bass and drums, they play it all–gospel, jazz and blues–with mindfulness to the cultural heritage from which Andrews hails… the third row pew of a Baptist Church in New Orleans’ 6th Ward where he came up spiritually and musically.

Andrews’ talent and showmanship will be paired with a special New Year’s Eve menu created by Chef Johnny Earles. The menu includes a midnight Champagne toast to ring in 2014 and to bid adieu to 2013.

The Early Seating (5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m) is priced at $55/person for dinner only. The Late Seating (8:00 p.m.) costs $85/person and includes live entertainment by The Glen David Andrews Band and the midnight champagne toast.

To make reservations, email Grayton Bar & Grill or call (850) 213-0891.
