Gulf Cemetery Centennial Anniversary Celebration

10270307_1445407692372654_4835375438700038669_nA State of Florida historic site, the Gulf Cemetery in Santa Rosa Beach will celebrate its centennial birthday on Monday, May 26th at 10:00 am with the unveiling of a Florida Historical Marker. The general public is invited to attend the ceremony.

The Historical Marker will be unveiled by an official from Tallahassee, and key remarks will be made by Rev. Don Ullrich. In honor of veterans, the World War II vintage planes known as “The War Birds” will conduct an honorary “Fly Over” in a missing man formation.

At the conclusion of the ceremonies, attendees will be invited to place American flags at veteran’s graves, and each will receive a memento of the occasion.

Since the cemetery has never had a perpetual care fund, the current Board wants to create a fund which, deposited in a Federally Insured Instrument, will generate income to support the annual expenses. The Cemetery is recognized by the IRS as a 501-C13 and all donations are tax deductible. Donations can be sent to:

Gulf Cemetery Association, Inc., PO Box 1746, Santa Rosa Beach, Florida 32459
