Nationally hailed as ‘an inspiration’ at just 25 years old, Jeanette Andrews has developed an entirely new and thought-provoking take on the art of the impossible. She is one of the only female magicians working in the United States and is the only magician worldwide to have ever been named to an artist-in-residence position.
Andrews comes to the REP fresh off of performances for the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago and being an ‘Escape to Create’ Artist-in-Residence in Seaside.
Andrews talks with 30A Radio about how she started performing magic when she was eight years old and how it has been the only job she’s ever had. She shares what it takes to be a professional magician and why she loves the art form.
