Cruise for a cause as SunQuest Cruises partners with the Junior League of the Emerald Coast for a Full Moon Cruise on the SOLARIS yacht in Sandestin on Friday, November 7.

The Junior League of the Emerald Coast is celebrating 50 years of making a difference in the community with a night of dining and dancing under the moonlight. The cost is $60 per person, which includes a three-hour cruise, food and live entertainment.

The event is the first in a series of full moon cruises.

“Evenings on the water take on a whole new luster under the light of a full moon,” said James Murray, General Manager for SunQuest Cruises. “We’re thrilled to partner with this great organization to raise money to further their mission and make an impact in our community.”

The Junior League of the Emerald Coast began in 1964 with five women dedicated to making a difference in their community. Today, the organization has grown to nearly 300 women committed to volunteerism, developing the potential of women and improving the community.

“We are a diverse group of civic-minded women devoted to voluntarism and improving our communities,” stated Carly Harmer, President of the Junior League of the Emerald Coast. “We are looking forward to celebrating our 50th anniversary with the community this year and are working to ensure that the impact we have over the next 50 years is even greater!”

Captain Matt will greet guests as they board and explore all three indoor and outdoor decks of the SOLARIS yacht and peruse the silent auction. Delectable foods prepared by the SOLARIS chefs will be available throughout the yacht. The menu includes fresh Tomato Basil soup, grilled smoked cheese sandwiches, bruschetta margarita melts, shrimp, beef, veggie and chicken kabobs, and a s’mores bar. Guests can also dance in the moonlight to live entertainment by local DJ David Hall.

Boarding begins at 6:30 p.m. at Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina, with the cruise from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m. To purchase tickets, visit Junior League of the Emerald Coast or call 850-269-7234.
