Local resident and landscape photographer Jamie Conley just published a new 2014 30-A Beach Calendar.
Conley is the owner of JConley Images, a fine art landscape photography business. She embarked on the calendar project several months ago with several goals in mind. Conley said that she wanted a means to showcase the beauty of the area and diversity of seasons in Northwest Florida, to offer a way for people to stay connected to the beach year round, and to provide a unique and distinctive local gift product from the popular 30A area.
“I am encouraged and excited by the response from local shops owners and individuals who have already purchased the calendars,” said Conley. “The 30-A Beach Calendar fills a unique niche for gifts and it’s something that continues to give throughout the year.”
The full-color, fine art quality calendar incorporates colors and design elements reflective of coastal life. It features 28 pages with stunning images from South Walton’s famous white sand beaches, 30A’s unique and rare coastal dune lakes and picturesque areas from State Parks located along the 18 mile scenic corridor.
When choosing images to include in the project, Conley carefully chose photographs she had taken during the same time frame as the month it depicts in the calendar.
Conley recently donated several calendars as prizes for the inaugural 30A Charity Golf Classic. Co-beneficiaries of the event proceeds went to Shelter House, a local organization that assists victims of domestic violence and Angela Ragsdale’s fundraising efforts in support of Off the Mat.
“When I first saw the calendars, I was immediately drawn in by the way that Jamie captured the area,” said Angela Ragsdale. “Every image tells a different story of the beauty of our lakes, beaches and sunsets all along 30A.”
