South Walton, Florida – September 1, 2011 – 30A.com, the #1 Guide to Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A, announced a new “Show Your 30A Pride” contest designed to help promote local businesses.

Any South Walton business that submits a photo of a “30A Sticker” placed prominently in their place of business during the month of September will be eligible to win a $1,000 advertising campaign, good for use on 30A.com, 30A iPhone30A Android or the new SouthWalton.com.

“We enjoyed such a beautiful and busy summer here, and we thought this would be a fun way to celebrate and to support local businesses as we enter the off-season,” said 30A.com’s Mike Ragsdale.

To enter the contest, local businesses should post their photos and business name on 30A’s Facebook page before Midnight Central Standard Time on Friday, September 30th. Businesses can submit as many entries as they like. In October, a panel of judges will select 3 photo finalists based on two factors: photo creativity and prominence of 30A sticker placement. Then, over 64,000 30A Facebook fans will vote to determine the $1,000 ad campaign winner.

Ragsdale said that there’s only one rule: The business owner or manager must agree to the sticker placement. “We don’t want to see 30A decals stuck in public spaces, on street signs, posts, benches, etc. We only want stickers posted with full permission of the property’s owner.”

The $1,000 prize winner will be announced in October. Participating businesses and photos will be featured throughout the month across the entire 30A network.

“It’s going to be great exposure for local businesses, regardless of who wins,” said Ragsdale. “We really want local business owners and their employees to have fun with their photo entries.”
