South Walton, Florida — (April 5, 2012) — 30A.com added to its growing network this week, with the launch of 30Agear.com, a new website designed to showcase official 30A® brand products.
“We have over 20 great retail partners here in South Walton, but less than 2 percent of our 88,000 Facebook fans are locals, for example,” said 30A’s Mike Ragsdale. “30Agear.com not only enables us to reach 30A fans around the world, and throughout the year, but it’s also a place where we can test the popularity of new products before we put them in stores.”
The 30A Gear website currently features products such as embroidered 30A hats, drink huggies, coasters, keychains and, of course, the company’s famous “30A Stickers,” which are featured in the current issue of Southern Living magazine.
“You’ve probably seen them — the round, blue ’30A’ stickers about the size of coffee-table coasters — adorning cars on highways all over the South,” said Southern Living in the article entitled Stuck on Highway 30A. “… More than a quarter of a million are now strewn throughout the planet and spotted in places as far afield as Afghanistan, Uruguay and Iceland.”
While 30Agear.com doesn’t currently feature t-shirts, Ragsdale said that additional products will be added soon, including a special ‘Life Shines Dog’ shirt design that’s helping raise money to support Walton County’s Alaqua Animal Refuge. Last year, the company partnered with Alaqua to set-up donation boxes wherever 30A stickers are distributed. That partnership helped raise over $14,000 for Alaqua in its first 12 months alone.
Ragsdale also said that the company plans to launch another new website before summer, although details have not yet been released.
“By all accounts that we’ve heard, 2012 is off to a really fantastic start here in South Walton,” said Ragsdale. “We plan to do everything that we can to help keep that momentum going for our partners and for all local businesses.”
