Local Mike Ragsdale speaks with 30A Radio about how Alys Beach’s Digital Graffiti festival first flickered to life.
During this annual event, the architecture of Alys Beach becomes the blank canvas, with artists projecting their original digital works onto the buildings themselves. The result is a stunning visual wonderland that has delighted spectators every year since it began in 2007. Back then, it was hard to even explain to people what the festival was. Today, the event is forging a path for a new genre of art, with other cities looking to Digital Graffiti as a model for forming their own digital art events.
Digital Graffiti will be held June 4-6, 2015, at Alys Beach. Grab tickets here.
