Tiffanie Shelton, founder and executive director of Food For Thought, chats with 30A Radio about the eye-opening experience when her daughter started kindergarten five years ago that led her to want to help the many kids in our area who don’t have enough food.
Since then, Shelton, and a growing list of dedicated volunteers, have gone from packing bags of food at her kitchen table to sending out over 800 backpacks a week across Okaloosa and Walton counties to help kids and their families have access to healthy food through the weekends. By providing weekly support to the children, the non-profit Food for Thought helps support their physical, mental and emotional development.
30a.com is proud to announce Food For Thought will be the recipient of our third annual 30A Charity Golf Classic!
