30A Radio sat down with Walton County Sheriff Michael Adkinson to talk about some of the pleasures and challenges of policing one of the geographically largest and fastest-growing counties in the state of Florida.He gives some safety advice for visitors — from locking your cars to the life-saving necessity of minding the beach safety flag system — and for locals — “be patient.”
He also talks about his hopes to add new deputies to cover the south end of the county as we are heading into a tourism season that looks to be our biggest yet.
