Santa Rosa Beach, FL – February 3, 2025 – Surfside Music Theatre, under the direction of Michelle Kerrigan, is excited to announce auditions for its upcoming production of Mean Girls JR. This smart and ferociously funny show, will take place at Surfside Music Theatre in Grayton Beach, FL, on April 23-26, 2025.Mean Girls JR. is a version of the hit musical Mean Girls that has been adapted for performance by students. The musical featured a book by Tina Fey (30 Rock), lyrics by Neil Benjamin (Legally Blonde), and music by composer Jeff Richmond (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt), was adapted from Fey’s hit 2004 film, which, in turn, was based on the 2002 nonfiction book Queen Bees and Wannabes by Rosalind Wiseman. Means Girls opened on Broadway in 2018, produced by Lorne Michaels, Stuart Thompson, and Sonia Friedman, and was nominated for 12 Tony Awards. Due to COVID-19.
