The second annual RUN WATERSOUND will take place on Sunday, October 30, 2022 with two new event distances.  In addition to the 5K, this year’s event will feature a 10K and a kids’ fun run for those under 12 years old.

All races will begin and end at the Watersound Town Center with a flat scenic course through the paths and street of the Watersound Origins community.

Saturday, October 29, 2022, from 11 a.m.–3 p.m.

Packet pick-up will take place at Watersound Town Center’s covered event pavilion, and registered runners will be able to come pick up their race shirts, bibs, and other necessary items for the following day’s race.

7 a.m. Packet Pickup: Watersound Town Center covered event pavilion
8 a.m. RUN WATERSOUND 10K start, 8:10 a.m. 5K starts, 8:30 a.m. Kids’ Fun Run start.

The covered event pavilion and neighboring green space at the Watersound Town Center will be transformed into a festival area for registered runners, their families and friends, and anyone else interested in participating in the festivities.

Races will begin at 8 a.m., taking runners north up Watersound Parkway and through the tranquil Watersound Origins community. Runners will be treated to a beautiful course that utilizes the neighborhood’s paths to maximize safety and enhance the running experience. Awards will be given to the Top 3 males and females overall in both the 10K and 5K. The finish line will be back at Watersound Town Center where live music will continue until 10 a.m.
