Chances are if you’ve ever spent any time along Scenic 30A you’ve at least heard of Bud & Alley’s. Nestled along the white sands and natural dunes of iconic Seaside, Florida, Bud & Alley’s is arguably one of the most well-known eateries in the 30A area. And for good reason too, as it’s been a staple of Seaside for over 25 years. Growing in popularity with each new vacationing family, and each generation that keeps coming back for more.
While the main restaurant is known for their fresh seafood, great steaks, crab cakes, and a smorgasbord of other coastal favorites, there’s also a little Mexican cuisine to be had at this 30A hotspot. The Taco Bar at Bud & Alley’s opened in 2007, and has proven to be a big hit along these shores. Serving authentically prepared South-of-the-Border favorites from their Baja Fish Tacos, Carnitas and Chorizo Tacos to Flour Tortillas, an array of Bud & Alley’s Burritos and even a Veggie Taco to the Baja Bowl and Specialty Chicken Wings.
If you like Mexican food at the beach, you’re going to love Bud & Alley’s Taco Bar’s version of spiciness near the sand.
I’ve been crunching into their tacos for over a decade now, and being a big fan of Mexican food, I can tell you first hand that Bud & Alley’s Taco Bar is definitely one of my favorite places along 30A to grab three or four varieties of tacos and just sit back and relax at one of their colorful outdoor tables, while taking in the Seaside vibe. If you’ve been there you know about this, and if you haven’t you sure need to check it out. I might even meet you for some Jalapeno’ Nachos and Cilantro… okay, and a beer.
You know what goes well with tacos though… especially if we’re keeping it authentic: Mexican beer and tequila!
The latter, of which Bud & Alley’s serves close to 50 (Yes! That’s right) renditions of in their vast menu of tequilas and signature margaritas. Just so you know, you’re not going to go thirsty while you enjoy the food and festive flair.
The Taco Bar is open daily for lunch and dinner, as well as being a great spot just to pop into their little wood hole-in-the-wall (I told you it’s authentic all the way!) shack to grab a cold drink or cocktail while taking in the beach community that started an entire New Urbanism movement. When in Seaside… you gotta check out Bud’s.
