They started as an espresso bar in the back of a barber shop in Florence, Alabama. Then they found their own space and incorporated food they enjoyed eating like avocado toast, and homemade pastries. Now they are coming to 30A and they’re targeting late Spring or Early Summer for opening.
“I always tell people, it’s kind of a cliche, but we’re really in the people business. We get to serve people every day. We get to impact somebody every single day and that’s really cool,” says Reese Shirey, Turbo Coffee Owner.
Shirey likes to start his day with one of their cold brews. “I drink cold brew 365 days a year. Every coffee shop does cold brew, but we’ve really focused on developing an excellent recipe that’s consistently good. I love to have that with our avocado toast with an egg on sourdough, or the acai bowl with whey protein, peanut butter, blueberries, and homemade granola—it’s awesome,” Shirey added.
Sounds like the perfect breakfast spot for Lodge 30A guests!
