Habitat for Humanity‘s Women Build Week, sponsored by Lowe’s, will be held May 5-13. The event brings women together from all walks of life to place a spotlight on the homeownership challenges they face and make a profound difference in Walton County.
This year brings in more ways for women to come together in the spirit of empowerment and impact.
In addition to Women Build days, volunteers can participate in a women’s empowerment luncheon, Hard Hats & High Heels. Also new to Women Build Week is Slay + Rosé: Buti Yoga, a healthy way to spend time with girlfriends and sweat with intention.
Volunteers at Women Builds will meet the family they are helping, spend time with friends and colleagues, and learn construction skills that are useful in their own homes. This will be exciting work and Habitat Walton County welcomes all beginners and skill levels. Volunteers may work several shifts or just one, and will be trained on the job site.
Hard Hats & High Heels
Kicking off Women Build Week 2017 is Habitat’s inaugural women’s empowerment luncheon, Hard Hats & High Heels! Bringing women together who encourage, elevate, and empower one another in support of Habitat’s mission of safe, affordable housing for all. Help us celebrate the many women volunteers and homeowners that pound nails, frame walls, raise roofs and create hope – proving what can be accomplished in the hands of empowered women!
