Notable poet, author, and storyteller Karla K. Morton, who was the Texas State Poet Laureate in 2010 and a respected alumna of Seaside’s “E2C” residency, along with Alan Birkelbach, the Texas Poet Laureate from 2005, will recite selected poems from their acclaimed book, The National Parks: A Century of Grace.. Join in for the 4th Annual Autos in August Auto Show presented by Emerald Coast Customs and 3M Window Tinting on Saturday, August 12th at The Village of Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin Resort. This event is dedicated to car enthusiasts – featuring imports, hot rods, exotics, muscle cars, off-road Jeeps, and trucks, and culminating in awards for seven categories including Best of Show. The event includes two raffles, one for auto-entry participants and a general one, with prizes such as a set of custom wheels, Sony in-dash car stereos, electronics, and 3M window tinting. All entry fees, donations, and raffle proceeds will go to the Children in Crisis charity.
