SunQuest Cruises’ Solaris

Want to be wined and dined in style on your next beach vacation? Be sure to book a trip aboard SunQuest Cruises’ SOLARIS. This beautiful ship stays docked at Sandestin’s Baytowne Marina and is readily available to host large events or just a special occasion for two.

I recently went to Baytowne to tour the Solaris. When I was walking down the dock, I paused to call for directions to the yacht.

The man on the phone had to be questioning my eyesight, considering that you literally can’t miss the Solaris.

Little did I know she’s the biggest boat docked at the marina.

I toured the entire vessel with owner, James Murray, and I have to say it is pretty awesome. Not only does the boat have a full bar (I’m talking everything), but they have a very nice wine list as well. The Solaris hosts everything from weddings, class reunions, and corporate dinners to public dinner cruises.

They often feature live entertainment to ensure that guests can dance the night away after a delicious dinner cruising into the sunset. The boat has a full galley and only serves the freshest food. Their fish is fresh from our area, and their chicken is never frozen. They also cut their own beef and even create their own sauces onboard.

unnamed (6)If you are looking to have your dream wedding on the Solaris, there is a private bridal suite to ensure that the bride looks perfect on the most memorable day of her life. The main deck can hold 100 people, and there’s an upper deck that can hold an additional 50 guests. The staff on the Solaris sets up the yacht exactly as you please, providing tables, chairs, food and fun for up to 150 guests.

If a wedding is not in your immediate future, don’t fret. There are public dinner cruises daily that you can book online. During each dinner cruise, you’ll be served the same fresh food and enjoy a 16-mile round trip, often turning around at beautiful Crab Island in Destin.

The Solaris celebrated its 10th anniversary on June 18th, so plan your next occasion on the Solaris and help them celebrate the beginning of a successful 11th year!
