Theatre-goers will not only support their local arts organization by attending a special performance at THE REP this Thursday — they’ll also be helping Alaqua Animal Refuge.
The special Thursday July 31st performance of Seaside Shorts — a ‘bite-sized’ collection of short plays — will help raise money for the Walton County-based animal shelter, the area’s only “no-kill” sanctuary that’s currently home to more than 250 animals.
“We have enjoyed a fun-filled season,” said The REP’s Executive Director, Brook Stetler. “What better way to enter the ‘dog days of summer’ than to add a performance that will benefit a cause we are all so happy to support.”
“Seaside Shorts” is a collection of five short plays by established and emerging playwrights and is performed at a fast-pace by the cast of The REP, the Gulf Coast’s leading professional theatre company.
“We are thrilled The REP has offered to help us raise vital funds for the refuge,” said Jill Tanner, Director of Development for Alaqua Animal Refuge. “We look forward to working with The REP to not only raise funds, but awareness for our cause.”
