
The Coastal Conservation Association′s South Walton chapter is hosting its tenth annual Kids Fishing Tournament at the Red Bar on Sunday, April 26, 2015 from noon to 4 p.m.
The first 150 young anglers (ages 5-15) will receive a rod and reel combo provided by Fish Florida, pompano rigs and shrimp provided by Yellowfin Ocean Sports, a beach rod holder provided by Ferguson Water Works and a t-shirt provided by Samuel Taylor Homes.
Cost is $15 to fish and become a youth member of the Coastal Conservation Association of Florida. The grassroots organization works to conserve and protect Florida’s marine resources.
First, second, and third places will receive custom CCA awards provided by Wallace O’Connell and Associates, and first place in each division will receive a gift certificate to Big Kahuna provided by Mainsail Realty!!
Divisions:
Boys: 5-9 years Girls: 5-9 years
10-12 years 10-12 years
13-15 years 13-15 years
Tournament Rules:
All participants shall be accompanied by an adult. All Florida Recreational Saltwater Fishing Regulations shall apply. All fish shall be alive at weigh-in. Heaviest fish weighed shall determine leader in each age group.
“We are simply delighted by the opportunity to select an avenue for advocacy that focuses on our most important resource — the kids,” said Neill O’Connell, CCA South Walton Chapter committee member. “Introducing the kids to fishing and CCA will not only aide in the growth of awareness, but start our future leaders on the right path.”
