With over 440,000 of our world-famous 30A stickers in circulation, they’ve been spotted in places as far away as Iceland, India, Slovakia, Thailand and Uruguay. Southern Living wrote an article about 30A stickers earlier this year, and Atlanta Magazine just featured them in their November issue!

And while we feel incredibly blessed to have such passionate and enthusiastic fans worldwide, sometimes folks (or more likely, bored kids) get a bit carried away and litter dozens of our stickers on local street signs. While we absolutely welcome fans to slap 30A stickers on private property (with permission of the property’s owner, of course!), we want to be responsible neighbors and strongly discourage any vandalism of public property.

So, we recently contacted District 5 County Commissioner Cindy Meadows to see how our small business can help keep local signs clean and free from such graffiti (including any misuse of our 30A stickers). While there are already some fantastic locals and non-profits that work on broader issues (such as Vivian Shamel, the Scenic Corridors/Community Projects Coordinator for Friends of Scenic Highway 30-A), we wanted to find out specifically what our company could do to pitch-in.

Scenic-Highway-30A-SignTo the credit of Commissioner Meadows and her assistant Susan MacDonald, they immediately responded and reported our concerns to the District 5 Road Crew. The D5 Road Crew will now check it out and will make sure that all street signs in reported problem areas are free from all stickers. We have already reported some of the worst areas (for example, on Highway 395, between 98 and 30A and throughout Grayton Beach, south of 30A), but if there are any street signs in your neighborhood that need to be added to their checklist, please contact Susan MacDonald (D5 Commissioner’s Aide) at (850) 231-2978 or [email protected]. This is a public resource, and they truly welcome your call!

HUGE AND SINCERE THANKS to Commissioner Meadows, Susan MacDonald, Vivian Shamel, the Friends of Scenic Highway 30-A, and to our District 5 Road Crews. Commissioner Meadows has only been on the job for a few weeks, but locals can already see the enthusiasm and positive energy that she is bringing to her office, as well as to our community.

Finally, 30A.com is making a $500 donation to the Friends of Scenic Highway 30-A organization, to help make sure that Scenic Highway 30A always remains as ‘scenic’ as it possibly can.

Happy Holidays, everyone, and thanks again to all of these wonderful people for their hard work to improve our home.
