Cowgirl Kitchen recently hosted a fun new event at their Seagrove location, called Porch Parties with a Purpose. Featuring live music and Ladies Night drink and food specials, a portion of proceeds from these parties honored a courageous woman of the 30A community who embodies the ‘Cowgirl Spirit’ — a local heroine who blazes her own trail and goes against the grain of life.

“This season we are honoring local Sheila Goode, a seven year cancer survivor who is a nationally known fashion photographer and a good friend to countless people in our area,” said Cowgirl Kitchen owner Nikki Nickerson. “Since her diagnosis in 2007, Sheila truly has grabbed life by the horns and continues to live life with moxie, no matter the obstacles.”

Live music for the June Porch Parties were be performed by different local bands. Drink specials include $5.00 Tiamo splits, 2-for-1 wine, and $2 Michelob Ultra.
