Scenic Highway 30A, Florida – (May 22, 2009) – If you’ve spent any time along Florida’s Scenic Highway 30A recently, you might have noticed a circular “30A” sunshine logo showing up in more and more places. Now, the company behind that Gulf-blue brand has partnered with eight local retailers to offer products featuring the cheerful icon.
“The new 30A logo has really resonated with people,” said Mike Ragsdale, who co-founded 30A.com with his wife, Angela. “We’ve gone through 20,000 decals in just a few short months, so we can’t wait to see what happens this summer.”
In anticipation of summer crowds, the company has now partnered with eight different retailers to sell 30A-branded shirts and products, including Cowgirl Kitchen in Rosemary Beach, Flip-Flops Grill in Seagrove, Amavida Coffee in Seaside, The Coffee House in WaterColor Crossings, The Zoo Gallery in Grayton Beach, Artists at Gulf Place in Dune Allen, JamBone in Santa Rosa Beach, and Kilwin’s in Grand Boulevard at Sandestin.
“I just love the logo,” said Eve Blair, a WaterColor resident who recently used the 30A logo as the inspiration for her 30th birthday cake design. “It’s so simple, yet somehow tells so much about our area.”
Ragsdale said that the logo was designed by Terry Slaughter of Slaughter Group, a strategic design and branding firm in Birmingham, Alabama. Slaughter’s clients have included such companies as Royal Cup Coffee, Children’s Hospital, Regions Bank and Alys Beach, among many others. Fifteen percent of all 30A shirt profits are donated to Children’s Volunteer Health Network (www.CVHNkids.org), an organization that provides free medical and dental care for uninsured children in Okaloosa and Walton Counties.
