Intro to Wheel Throwing

Come join our pottery instructor, Jaweria Rizvi, for a five week course in how to wedge clay, the basics of throwing, tips and techniques for glazing, and how to use different tools in the studio. This class will include a 25 lb bag of clay to experiment with. Week One will consist of two back-to-back classes on Tuesday September 24 and Wednesday September 25. All subsequent weeks will meet for class on Tuesday.

Once you have completed this course, you are able to utilize our open studio for wheel throwing. Please ask for more details on open studio!

Refund Policy:

Please double check your schedule when you sign up for a class because all classes, workshops, and series offered by the Center for the Arts are non-refundable.

Refunds are typically only made if there are unforeseeable circumstances with the instructor or facility. If you are sick and have to cancel, you may receive a partial credit for the class other than the instructor fees for the class sessions. This is at the discretion of the Center for the Arts.
