For one weekend only, SOWAL House welcomes The Curtis Lundy & Simon Mogul Quartet direct from New York City. Curtis Lundy is a bona fide jazz legend . A Grammy-nominated bassist and composer whose résumé includes Betty Carter, Art Blakey, Dizzy Gillespie, Joe Henderson, Pharoah Sanders, Bobby Hutcherson, and more. Simon Mogul is one of the young NYC players to watch: a hard-swinging tenor saxophonist with a fresh voice, a deep respect for the tradition, and serious momentum on the New York scene. Together, they bring a rare mix of jazz history, modern energy, and straight-ahead fire to the stage for one weekend only.
