Jeff Black – February 25, 7:30 p.m.
With song craftsmanship described as “perfect” (MusicRow), contemporary folk troubadour Jeff Black’s music is rooted in a storytelling family legacy, his older brother’s record collection, and the farmland of his Liberty, KS childhood. In a global career spanning three decades earning numerous awards, Nashville-based Black is acknowledged as a pioneering influence on modern folk and roots music. He was voted one of the country’s 100 most influential folk artists of the past 25 years at Boston’s WUMB.

Black’s songs have earned recognition by Grammy, BMI and NPR and have been cut by leading artists such as Alison Krauss, Sam Bush and Waylon Jennings.

A master songwriter and performer in the tradition of the great storytellers, his passionate, soul driven live performances of songs from his vast catalog are not to be missed.

A Muscle Shoals Music Revue with Amy Black – March 24, 7:30 p.m.
Join powerhouse singer Amy Black and her band for a soulful celebration of the incredible music that came out of Muscle Shoals, Alabama in the 1960s and 70s, including songs recorded by Otis Redding, Wilson Pickett, The Rolling Stones, Aretha Franklin, Etta James, Lou Rawls, Bob Dylan and many others, as well as originals that embody the spirit and soul of Muscle Shoals.

Amy Black’s third solo release, ‘The Muscle Shoals Sessions’ (June 2015) was recorded at historic FAME studios in her family’s homeland of Muscle Shoals, Alabama, and features Spooner Oldham, the McCrary Sisters and Will Kimbrough.

The result was, “a blend of sultry desire, ardent passion…a sound that’s both tough and tender” (Relix). “To showcase her true potential as a bluesy, R&B heavy hitter, Amy Black had to go home. Black’s soulful chops shine.” (Elmore)
