About Nanbu Noodle Bar:

The word “Nanbu” itself is Japanese for “southerner,” and once you visit Nanbu Noodle Bar you’ll understand exactly why this choice in names makes perfect sense. The cuisine may be Asian in culture, but everything about this Grayton Beach eatery is synonymous with the hospitality associated with the Deep South.

Owner & Executive Chef, Nikhil Abuvala was raised in a family made up of generations of cooks and chefs. He says he found his own fondness for food preparation at the ripe old age of 13, and had a real passion for Asian-style cuisine.

Abuvala’s first restaurant, Roux 30a, opened in South Walton in 2013, and his popularity quickly grew, with both locals and vacationers trying out his new hotspot.  Abuvala routinely hosted spectacular private dining events where he and his team would showcase an array of foods from around the globe.

After the success of Roux 30A he decided to open his next venture, Nanbu Noodle Bar, in the laid-back coastal community of Grayton Beach. For this venture, Abuvala was inspired by his own love of Asian cuisine, coupled by his Southern roots. The name was chosen to showcase that ode to hospitality the area had become known for, and to add to the easy-going spirit of Grayton Beach as a location for the restaurant. Nanbu is all about smiling faces, friendly service, and great Japanese food.

Nanbu Noodle Bar offers a great selection of noodles, stir-fry, ramen, poké, sushi and more. Whether you choose chicken, pork, or Nambu Yaki or their tuna poke’ bowl you’re sure to find something you’ll enjoy in this quaint coastal eatery with an international twist.  There’s even a full array of hot and cold sake’ to accompany the freshly prepared dish of your choice.

Even with its Southern hospitality and Grayton Beach location, Nanbu’s definitely not your typical coastal restaurant… but then again, that’s a big part of what makes it one you should put on your list. I think you’ll be glad you did.
