Wear Your Ugly Sweater and Shop for Holiday Gifts at Market in the Park, Dec 16

A new family-friendly event has landed in South Walton, Market in the Park invites you and yours to walk into a wonderland of shopping, food, and fun.

This holiday event brings 30 of our local artisans, businesses and services together in one venue.

Shop the local vendors for festive gifts, and enjoy food, drink and entertainment hosted at the Grayton Beer Company Taproom Sunday, December 16, from 11 AM – 5 PM.

“We all get so caught up in the hustle and bustle of everyday life that we forget to truly enjoy the moments we are in currently. Our hope is that we can help our community become stronger, help different charities every month, and continue to grow while placing a spotlight on our locals,” Market co-founder Joseph Sports said.

Attendees are encouraged to wear their ugliest Christmas sweaters for a chance to win prizes while they peruse the local business showcase.

If a new four-legged member of the family is on one of your Christmas list’s, Dog Harmony will also be in house supporting adoptions.

It was important to Sports to utilize the Christmas market and our generous community as an opportunity to give back. Upon spending personal time volunteering and witnessing what our coastal neighbors are experiencing after Hurricane Michael, Sports knew they had a platform.

Guests are encouraged to bring a toy for donation.

“Even if we could change one kid’s Christmas, we knew we needed to. We want to help these children remember that Christmas went well, no matter what else is wrong in their lives,” Sports said.

Each participating market vendor donated one item to a gift basket which will be raffled. Market patrons must donate a toy to be entered into the raffle and Hope Panhandle Inc. will distribute the donated toys to those impacted families.

“We strive to be the go-to fun, family-friendly event. Our hope with this and all future markets is that we are able to bring our community together,” Sports said.
