Back in the early 1900’s, the Brown shoe company adopted a cartoon character for its logo. Buster Brown was a mischievous little boy with a page boy haircut and a pet American Pit Bull Terrier named Tige. Their slogan said, “I’m Buster Brown. I live in a shoe. That’s my dog, Tige. He lives in there too.” Our Buster Brown is not a little boy, nor does he live in a shoe. About 3 years old, Buster Brown is a long haired Dachshund who was picked up as a stray, then rescued from a local shelter. A happy-go-lucky fellow with lots of spirit and a real zest for life, Buster Brown has a wonderful time chasing his kennel neighbor, a muscular Bull Terrier mix, all around the play area every day. Always wanting to be the best that he can be, he also practices his excellent leash skills whenever he has the chance. But Buster Brown is most content of all when he’s cuddled up on a welcoming lap. A well rounded affectionate dog, Buster Brown is hoping to make some special someone’s holiday season a truly joyous one. In exchange for a happy forever home, Buster Brown will give the gift that keeps on giving all year long – a never ending supply of unconditional love.
