Alaqua Animal Refuge’s Pets of the Week:

Katie and Maye are two great ladies with just one Christmas wish — both of these beautiful senior cats have been waiting for a very long time for their special someone to come along. Now, with the holiday spirit filling the air, they hope with all their hearts that this will be the year their wishes come true.

Katie is a pleasingly plump Calico with a gorgeous face and golden eyes. Quiet and affectionate, Katie is content to get a little attention and then bask in whatever patches of sunshine she can find.

Maye is a striking Tabby with green eyes, a striped coat of brown and gray and one of the sweetest dispositions in Northwest Florida. She loves to help put fresh fleece on her cat bed and then enjoys luxuriating in the softness and the lovely clean scent. Katie and Maye are keeping their paws crossed, wishing on the Christmas star and watching every day for that one person each believes will walk through the door, pick them up and take them at last to their loving forever-homes. You could be the one to give them the merriest Christmas ever.
